Mary Wieler

Mary is a nationally recognized museum leader with expertise in fundraising, board governance, and nonprofit finance. She retired in 2019 as Chief Executive Officer of the Museum Trustee Association. Previously, she had served the Association as a board member and Chair for 12 years. In honor of her 22 years of trustee service, Mary recently was elevated to Trustee Emerita status at The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to her role at Walters, Mary serves as Trustee of The Park City Museum and on the advisory boards of The Utah Museum of Fine Arts and The Maryland Center for History and Culture.

Mary’s civic accomplishments include board leadership positions with other nonprofit organizations, including The Greater Baltimore Medical Center, The Enoch Free Library, The Maryland Philanthropic Network, and Planned Parenthood of Maryland. In 2006, she was honored as one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women in 2006. She joined the Peace House Board of Directors in June 2020.

Earlier in her career, Mary worked in international banking and debt capital markets with two Wall Street firms. She is a graduate of The Edmund T. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
