Then sign up for our 2025 Volunteer Training this September and join our group of trained volunteers in supporting our mission of ending interpersonal violence and empowering survivors to heal and thrive.

This free 40-hour training is open to anyone interested in direct services as it will not only equip you with the knowledge needed to support our clients, but will also provide you the opportunity to work with the Hospital Response Team (HRT), Shelter Advocates, Prevention Education Team, Housing Support, Peace House Committees, and at the Front Desk.

N/B : We recommend attending all sessions, as that will provide more direct services opportunities for you. However, In the event that you cannot attend all six sessions, we kindly ask that you attend a minimum of 24 hours to begin the onboarding process.

If you're only able to attend 24 out of the 40 hours, you're still eligible to move forward with the onboarding process, precisely volunteering only at the Front Desk, in-person interviews and background checks. However, please note that we’ll work with you to complete the remaining hours through make-up trainings before you can be placed in those direct service roles or proceed with further onboarding steps.
