Children’s Services
We know that children are profoundly affected by domestic violence, often carrying the trauma into their future.
At Peace House, we provide specialized children's services that ensure every child receives individualized attention, care, and advocacy to address the bio-social impact of trauma.
Our Services
Child Respite
Child Respite is our first phase for Child Care at Peace House. We are currently providing on-site supervision and age-appropriate activities to promote healthy development. Child Respite is necessary support to the families we work with as it allows the flexibility and consistency for parents to engage in other support services, heal, and thrive.
Community Building
Community Building is a monthly event series that provides a safe and consistent space for people to connect, heal, and practice healthy relationship building skills. This series really works to promote meeting people at all stages of healing to shift from surviving to thriving.
Child and Family Safety Planning
Child and Family Safety Planning engages parents and children with individualized plans to increase emotional, mental, and physical safety. We use age-appropriate and engaging workbooks to help children digest complex topics regarding safety. Our safety plans include optional community resource referrals that connect children and parents to children's extracurriculars.
Partnership with Parent Guidance
Peace House partners with Parent Guidance to offer education and therapeutic resources focused on parenting and supporting childhood mental health. To learn more, please visit the Parent Guidance website.
