Please join Peace House for a screening of the film Surviving Sex Trafficking on April 28.
A panel discussion lead by Sexual Assault Services Coordinator Jo’D Peterson, Victim Service Coordinator for Park City Police Department Devan Bobo, and Director of Trafficking in Persons for the Asian Association of Utah Andrea Sherman will immediately follow the film. The moderator is Renai Bodley Miller, General Manager of KPCW.
About the film:
Filmmaker Sadhvi Siddhali Shree examines the ongoing struggles of sex trafficking survivors who are fighting to break free of the past, heal their bodies and reconnect with a safer world of hope. The doc is a follow-up to 2017’s Stopping Traffic: The Movement to End Sex Trafficking. It reveals the stories of sex trafficking survivors, including how they escaped and how they live day-to-day with the repressed trauma from the horrific events they experienced, through conversations with victims and trips to women’s shelters around the world.
