Keeping Kids Safe
We had a wonderful time at this year's Keeping Kids Safe Event, and we hope you did too!
Emma Zevallos, Prevention Education Director shared:
"Our Third Annual Keeping Kids Safe event brought together families, community partners, and prevention advocates for an afternoon focused on safety, awareness, and connection. Highlights included a reptile show by Creature Encounters Utah and delicious lunch provided by Quesabirrias. We’re incredibly grateful to our event sponsors, Wasatch Behavioral Health and the Summit County Health Department, for making this meaningful day possible. A very special thank you to our amazing Latino youth volunteers from Latinos in Action at Wasatch County, your support was instrumental and truly appreciated."
There are many opportunities to meet the Peace House Prevention Education team in the coming months. Keep an eye out and continue to help us keep our children safe.
Black Box Diaries
Thank you to all who joined for the Black Box Diaries film screening in partnership with Park City Film!
As part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the film offered powerful insight and sparked important conversations. While it was both informative and eye-opening, it also reminded us that there is still much work to be done to create real, lasting change for survivors. We can all make a difference by believing survivors, even after SAAM is over.
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our Pillars of Giving reception. Your support and presence mean so much to us as we continue to grow this vital program. For more information about the Pillars of Giving program or how you can get involved, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Director of Community Engagement and Major Gifts, Sally Tauber.
