March Newsletter
We’re still buzzing with excitement after our spring luncheon — One Voice: Many Lives, which was a tremendous success! Thanks to your support, we took another giant step forward in our mission to end interpersonal violence and create a safer, more compassionate world.
As we reflect on the event, we’re also mindful that April is a time of both reflection and action — it’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month. Together, these observances remind us of the vital work ahead and the powerful difference we can make when we all stand united.
Thank you for being part of this important journey!
In Community,
The Peace House Team
One Voice, Many Lives
Thank you to all who joined us for this year's spring luncheon! We hope you were inspired by this year's speaker, Leah Moses. Leah Moses is a Certified Nurse Midwife with Intermountain Healthcare and a board member of the Utah Domestic Violence Coalition. She became a women’s healthcare provider to support and advocate for survivors of domestic violence. After losing her son, Om, to domestic violence filicide, Leah fought to pass Om’s Law, ensuring no parent must endure the same heartbreak.
We were honored to recognize Polly Strasser, longtime Fundraising and Development Committee Chair, for her unwavering dedication to Peace House and the survivors we serve.
Thanks again to our lead sponsor, Park City Mountain in partnership with Vail Resorts EpicPromise, and to Cheri and Scott Beck, Marriott Daughters Foundation and the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation for a total of $75,000 in matching funds. We could not do this without you.

Black Box Diaries
Thursday, April 10 7:00 PM - Jim Santy Auditorium
Join us April 10 for a free screening of Black Box Diaries! If you missed this film last year at Sundance, now is your chance to see it.
In 2017, Japanese journalist Shiori Itō publicly accused a prominent media executive (and associate of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe) of rape, and published a bestselling memoir detailing her case — Black Box, a book credited with sparking the #MeToo movement in Japan. BLACK BOX DIARIES is a survivor’s real-time investigation of her own sexual assault. Itō documents her courageous struggle to navigate Japan’s sex crimes laws and quest for justice.
