Karin Fojtik
Karin recently retired after twenty years serving as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office in the District of Utah. As a criminal AUSA, Karin handled a wide variety of cases with a particular focus on crimes involving child exploitation. During 2016-17 she served as the National Coordinator for Project Safe Childhood in the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.
Karin currently serves as a volunteer attorney with the Wasatch Immigration Project, a nonprofit law firm in Park City that provides low cost and pro bono immigration legal advice. Karin’s past experience working with victims of crime and domestic violence drew her to helping those survivors obtain legal status in the United States. Karin also serves on the Board of Holy Cross Ministries and Mountain Town Music.
Originally from the Chicago area, Karin and her family have lived in Park City since the early 90s. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a BA in Business, and the University of Utah’s SJ Quinney School of Law.
