The internet is a part of all of our lives, perhaps even more so as a result of the pandemic. We use it for work and for entertainment, our kids learn and play on it, teens use it to stay connected with friends. While we rely on it for necessary and everyday tasks, it is important that we are aware of threats that exist online- for us and our family. This discussion will address how to keep young children safe and how to talk to teens about cyber safety precautions and their responsibilities online. We will also discuss the critical skill of identifying reliable information sources to protect ourselves and our family members.

Racial inequity creates additional barriers for marginalized survivors trying to access support and systems intending to protect them.
