Peace House History Collection Project
This year marks our 25th Anniversary. Peace House shelter opened in 1995 when several committed grassroots groups mobilized in response to the brutal murder of Nadalee Noble at the hands of her estranged husband in a local parking lot in 1990. Over the past 25 years, Peace House has grown and expanded our services, and transitioned from the original shelter and offices in Park City into the new community campus this past summer. Today Peace House is proud to operate as a community hub for domestic violence services and resources, and to be able to offer survivors emergency shelter, a 24/7 crisis helpline, clinical therapy, case management, legal advocacy, sexual assault services, prevention education, transitional housing, childcare, and permanent housing support.
As part of our celebrations this year, we are collecting, preserving and sharing Peace House history. We want to honor our history, and the many dedicated women and men who have worked tirelessly over the past 25 years to fulfill the Peace House mission and break the cycle of family violence and abuse in the community.
