Sue Schettler Proctor

With a background in Accounting from the University of Utah, Sue works alongside her husband Jeff in the management of their businesses, Sugarhouse Self Storage and South Jordan Self Storage. Sue began volunteering in 1995 with Peace House as a shelter advocate, as well as volunteering at numerous Peace House events. After serving as Peace House Board Assistant for several years, Sue joined the Board of Directors in 2015 and held the role of Governance Officer from 2019 to 2021. From working with her fellow board members and learning to appreciate the amazing staff who work tirelessly to provide services to those experiencing family domestic crisis, Sue has expanded her knowledge of nonprofit operations. In addition, as a member of the Peace House Capital Campaign Committee, Sue assisted in raising $11 million for the new community Campus that opened in September 2019.

In addition to her roles with Peace House, she has volunteered in many capacities for the Park City School District and in various teaching and leadership positions for her church.

A native Utahn, Sue grew up skiing at Park West, waterskiing at Bear Lake, and exploring the magnificent Wasatch mountains. Always an outdoors enthusiast, her favorite activity is getting up before sunrise at Lake Powell for a waterskiing session. Sue and Jeff moved to Park City in 1995 and have four children and five grandchildren whom they love to spend time with skiing, boating, golfing, playing music, and traveling. Sue encourages her children and grandchildren to make a difference in the communities where they live.
